Reverse Osmosis Systems have an installation manual sent with the order.
All Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when installed and operated within recommended parameters. We will repair and replace at our discretion any defective component. This warranty does not cover the disposable sediment, carbon or Reverse Osmosis membrane filters.
The following warranty periods are in effect at the date of purchase: Microline - 5 years, GE Merlin - 3 years for residential applications; 1 year for commercial applications.
As we all know, water is a daily, life-sustaining requirement for every living creature. Unfortunately, little of the everyday water we use, is the pure and fresh water our families and we need.
Our Microline and GE Merlin R.O. drinking water systems will effectively reduce many dangerous contaminates that are commonly found in your tap water, well below recommended US-EPA levels! We need to protect ourselves and families by ensuring the water we use in our homes is safe and naturally clean, the way nature intended it to be.
The Microline TFC-35A R.O. system we market is made in the USA by Clack Corporation, while the GE Merlin is also made in the USA by General Electric.
These companies have specialized in the manufacture of reverse osmosis systems for several years with a continuous record of producing extremely reliable, long lasting and low maintenance water treatment equipment.
These systems are primarily for residential use. Both systems have passed stringent NSF standards in addition to having one of the best warranties of any R.O. systems on the market!
Our R.O. Systems are unsurpassed in quality, with a long-standing tradition of excellence, reliability and are virtually maintenance free!
(We also have larger commercial Reverse Osmosis units, which will produce hundreds and even thousands of gallons of clear, ultra-pure filtered "RO" water! (Simply contact us for quotes on larger commercial systems.)
Our NSF Certified Microline TFC4-35A R.O. System has a completely enclosed patented molded manifold design in the top of the unit that channels the raw water into the Sediment/Carbon prefilter.
From this filter, the water then travels inside the manifold to the RO membrane filter where the water is "squeezed" under pressure through the membrane. A small amount of water continuously rinses contaminants off the membrane surface and down the drain, making it last much longer.
After the water is "squeezed" through the R.O. membrane, the product water is immediately channeled through the Post Carbon filter and out of the main unit. The clear product RO water finally passes through the inline Carbon "final polish" filter.
The three main filters of the Microline R.O. system, all easily screw directly into the bottom of this enclosed manifold housing to ensure a tight seal against water leakage.
This very simple design also makes replacement of all your filters, very quick and easy!
GE Infrastructure Water and Process Technologies has achieved a revolutionary breakthrough in the water treatment industry. Out-of-the-box thinking and years of research have produced a totally new point-of-use drinking water system. The new Merlin RO System features continuous-flow water production so a storage tank is no longer required.
The unit operates on line pressure, which eliminates the need for an electrical pump in most applications. The patented high-production , low-energy membrane purifies up to 720 gallons of water per day! This high capacity performance creates new opportunities for commercial applications at the price of a residential system. Big innovation, bigger opportunities.
Continuous flow - no storage tank necessary
Uses line pressure only - >40 psi
1/2 gpm permeate rate @ 50 psi
Requires no pump or electricity
Compact design - fits easily under sink
ANSI NSF 58 validated
Consistent TDS rejection and membrane efficiency
High recovery system
Multiple dispensing locations off one system
High durability Noryl and polypropylene construction provide years of dependable service
Engineered for the fewest number of connection points - less chance of leaks
System's support leg also serves as a handy sump wrench
Caution: Do not use where water is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit. Water supplies that exceed limits for Chlorine, Hardness, Iron, Manganese and Hydrogen Sulfide require pretreatment.
Water pressure from your household tap forces water through a semi-permeable membrane. This membrane separates the everyday household water at the molecular level. This membrane acts like a "super filter" to isolate many harmful contaminates, greatly reducing them to very low levels, which in turn, makes your water much cleaner and purer!
Reverse Osmosis water, has a substantially reduced level of dissolved solids and contaminates. Once the water is filtered through the RO unit, it is conveniently stored in a holding tank, ready for you to use.
The Reverse Osmosis unit will use between 2-3 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of "RO" water. Many other R.O. units on the market will waste as much as 10 gallons of water or more, to make 1 gallon of "RO" water!
When the water storage tank is full, the R.O. System will trigger an automatic shutoff device, which signals the system to automatically stop making R.O. water until more water is needed.
We recommend that any Reverse Osmosis system NOT be installed on water that's more than 10 grains hard. This unit will work in hard water, but your filters will clog up much faster than in soft water. We suggest that you soften your water first to remove all the dissolved hardness minerals.
If you have public water, simply contact the office where you pay your water bill.
If you are on a private water system, then contact your local health department to have your water tested, buy a water test kit available at most large hardware stores or purchase a test kit from us and we will UPS it to your address.
You need to test for hardness, Iron, pH, Hydrogen Sulfide (for rotten egg odor), Nitrates and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
